Uniform

At Peachcroft Pre-school we are proud of our non compulsory uniform. We find that when children wear a uniform it encourages a sense of belonging, a feeling of equality and pride in being a member of the pre-school.  

Benefits of a Uniform:

• It also helps during morning routines when getting dressed both for the parent and for the child.  

• The child will know what day it is and will have expectations of going to pre-school and meeting their friends and joining in fun activities.  

• Mornings can be busy and stressful enough without the added pressure of deciding what you are going to put on your child first thing in the morning.  A uniform relieves some of that stress and strain.

• At pre-school we love playing outside in the garden, in the mud kitchen and being creative with paint, colouring, sticking and messy play.  By wearing a uniform it protects clothes for home from becoming stained and ripped.

• Encouraging children to dress independently and wear their pre-school uniform is an important part of becoming 'school ready'.  You will find a great activity here to help build excitement for them to wear their uniform and strengthen their fine motor skills.
